Bhubaneswar: The Union Health Ministry has modified the CoWIN portal from today for the 2nd dose of Covisheild, informed Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha Health Department, Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, on Wednesday.
In an official communication to all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and CDM&PHOs, Mohapatra reiterated that the schedule for the 2nd dose of Covishield vaccine has been revised to 42 days (6 weeks) after the 1st dose, which was earlier 28 days (4 weeks).
“Hence, beneficiaries coming for 2nd dose Covishield between 4 to 6 weeks cannot be vaccinated & CoWIN portal will not allow the same,” he added.
