Bhubaneswar: Five child labourers were rescued from different workplaces in Keonjhar town by Childline and police personnel early this morning.
According to information, officers of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Keonjhar, Labour Department and Childline with support of police personnel conducted raids at hotels, grocery shops, factories and Government and private houses to find out if children were engaged to do work at those places.
By Wednesday morning, five minor children were rescued, said reports. “Raids are going on at different places. Children will be rescued if engaged illegally,” said officials.
