The JEE online examination, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), would begin in 281 cities, including 9 in Odisha, from April 9. The examination would be held in three remaining phases on April 11, 12 and 19.
In Odisha, the online examination would be held in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Brahmapur, Rourkela, Baleswar, Bhawanipatna, Jeypore and Angul. Meanwhile, the JEE offline examination was held in the state on Sunday with nearly 50,000 students appearing in the examinations in 90 centres across 9 cities.
Talking to the newsmen here, CBSE regional director AS Burma said the results of the JEE Mains examinations would be announced on May 3. Students clearing the offline and online examinations will have to appear at the JEE Advance examinations for admission in the top 16 government managed IIT, NIT and IIM, Dhanbad institutes.
