Odia Tourist Bus Accident in Sinnar of Nasik – 3 Dead and 41 Injured

Three people were killed and 41 others were injured, eight of them seriously, in a collision between a Luxury Bus, Mini truck and tractor on Sinnar-Shirdi road near Khopdi Shivar in Sinnar tehsil of the district on Friday at 8:15 PM. The incident occurred last night when a mini bus was on way to Shirdi from Nashik smashed against a tempo and a tractor on Sinnar-hirdi road near Khopdi Shivar in Sinnar, police said today.

According to reports, a tourist bus, bearing registration number MH-17-BD-5155, was on the way to Shirdi carrying 42 Odia pilgrims belonging to Aruha Village of Dharmasala block in Jajpur district when the driver lost control of the vehicle which overturned after colliding with a Tempo near Khopdi village under Sinnar Taluka in Nashik district, Among the dead were the mini bus driver, tempo driver and a passenger. They have been identified as bus driver Rajendra Ingle (50) of Vaijapur, tempo driver Rahul Pawar (35) of Rahata in Ahmednagar district and passenger Sudhir Kumar Behera (25) of Odisha. Following information, police rushed to the spot and admitted the injured pilgrims in Nashik Health Care & Research Centre Pvt Ltd and the remaining patients in Dr Patil Maternity Hospital and Yashwant Hospital.
