Subhadra’s Daru identified at Adhanga in Jagatsinghpur for 2015 Nabakalebara

The Daru or neem tree for the creation of new idol of Devi Subhadra has been identified at Adhanga under Biridi block in Jagatsinghpur district for the Nabakalebara 2015. The daru is located in the premises of lord Nilakantheswar Temple in Adhanga. Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Suresh Chandra Mohapatra made the formal announcement on the location of Devi Subhadra’s daru on Friday morning. ‘Dalapati’ of the Banajaga team gave written confirmation to SJTA about the location of Devi Subhadra’s daru on Thursday night. Barricades have been put up around the sacred neem tree.

Notably, this is the second daru identified in Jagatsinghpur district. Lord Balabhadra’s daru was earlier identified near Maa Sarala shrine in the same district. Meanwhile, daru of Lord Sudarshan reached Koili Baikuntha through the north gate of Jagannath Temple on Friday morning.
